Our History
Anna Raciti has worked with children from all backgrounds and all skill levels for many years, helping them to develop effective reading, writing and spelling skills. As a Speech and Language therapist and Audiologist, her years of experience have enhanced her understanding when it comes to the difficulties experienced by children when learning to read and write. She has worked very closely with schools, children, educators and parents in an effort to enhance strategies for children to develop these skills from an early age.
Anna Raciti manages assessments, therapy and home-programs for children based in South Africa as well as for families based in Europe and neighbouring African countries. Anna Raciti also works closely with and manages Speech-Language therapists and tutors who carry out on-site therapy and English Enrichment classes at various schools.
Empowering parents remains an area of high importance. Based on this, Anna Raciti has devised a series of books aimed at helping parents as well as teachers with activities that they can use to help children. This range of books can be used with children from Grade 0 upwards.
Each book covers a combination of the following skills: story for reading and/or listening, comprehension, story memory, number memory forwards (sequential memory), number memory in reverse (working memory), word memory forwards (sequential memory), word memory in reverse (working memory), auditory sentence memory, following of instructions, auditory discrimination, auditory synthesis, auditory analysis, auditory closure, syllabification, visual closure, visual discrimination, inferring skills (inferencing), reasoning skills, number/quantity and language stimulation.
